DICTA 2017 - Call for Submissions

Call for papers

The International Conference on Digital Image Computing: Techniques and Applications (DICTA) is the main Australian Conference on computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition, and related areas. DICTA was established in 1991 as the premier conference of the Australian Pattern Recognition Society (APRS). DICTA 2017 is technically cosponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR). All papers presented at the conference will be included in IEEE Xplore digital library.

Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

Paper Submission Deadline: 09th July, 2017.
Review notification: 25th August, 2017.

Authors are invited to submit papers of up to 8 pages according to the guidelines on the conference website. Each paper will go through double-blinded peer review. It is a condition of publication that accepted papers are presented by one of the authors. Presenters of accepted papers must register before the early registration deadline to avoid withdrawal from the conference proceedings and technical programme.

Call for Special Sessions

Prospective organizers of Special Sessions should submit proposals with the following information in one PDF file to contact@dictaconference.org:

Proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness of the topic and on the qualifications of the organizers and of the authors of the contributed papers as well. The number of the papers contributed from the organizers should not be more than two.
Upon acceptance of the special session proposal, the contributed papers will be submitted in the same format as regular papers.

Special Session Proposals: 9th Jun, 2017.
Notification of acceptance of the Special Session: 23rd Jun, 2017.
Submission for approved Special Sessions: 9th July, 2017.

The papers in each accepted Special Session will undergo the same review process as the other regular papers. It is the responsibility of the organizers to ensure that their Special Session papers meet DICTA 2017 quality standards. In case a paper in a Special Session does not meet the expected quality, it will be rejected and an effort will be made to draw papers from the regular submission process to fill in the gap. If too many papers for a given Special Session are not accepted in the review process and we are unable to find suitable substitutes from the regular review pool, the Special Session may be cancelled.

Call for Tutorials
