Call for Papers

The International Conference on Digital Image Computing: Techniques and Applications (DICTA) is the main Australian Conference on computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition, and related areas. DICTA was established in 1991 as the premier conference of the Australian Pattern Recognition Society (APRS). DICTA 2022 is technically co-sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR). All papers presented at the conference will be included in IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. DICTA 2022 will present APRS Early Career Researcher Award, APRS best paper award, APRS best student paper award, DST best contribution to science award, and DST women in STEM award. DICTA 2022 is going to be held in a hybrid mode with both online and on site events.

Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Computer vision
  • Image coding and processing
  • Statistical and structural pattern recognition
  • Machine learning
  • Shape and texture analysis
  • Content-based image retrieval and image database
  • Image analysis and understanding
  • Biomedical and e-health applications
  • Surveillance, defence and industrial applications
